GPS Soil pH Sampling

Soil acidity plays a vital role in crop performance — affecting yield, nutrient availability, and the effectiveness of fertilisers.

Our in field 1 Ha pH testing is the most accurate way to understand what’s really happening in your fields. Unlike traditional lab testing — which relies on one mixed composite sample to represent a whole area (misleading).

Each reading is taken in field and logged using GPS, we can pick up even the smallest problem areas that a composite lab sample or a soil scanner would easily miss. The results are transferred onto a detailed field map, showing exactly where soil acidity levels change.

This gives you a clear, reliable picture of your soil’s actual condition.

GPS Soil Sampling

Intensive soil sampling for Phosphate, Potash, Magnesium & Lime can be a very cost effective management tool for your farm. We operate this service for farmers and agronomists. Apart from the financial and environmental benefits, you can be confident that your fertiliser application is targeted and being spread exactly where the soil needs it.

The 4 year programme for nutrient management gives you the ability to plan ahead and budget for what your soil actually requires, NOT what it’s always been used to. Once the mapping is completed, we tailor your fertiliser prescriptions based around your cropping, yields, straw and manures to create the most efficient and effective fertiliser regime for your fields.

Routine Soil Sampling

Regular soil sampling is essential for understanding your soil’s health and ensuring fertiliser is used efficiently. Every field should be sampled at least every four years to monitor nutrient status and pH.

basic laboratory test includes:

  • Phosphorus (P)
  • Potassium (K)
  • Magnesium (Mg)
  • Soil pH

Additional testing can cover:

  • Secondary nutrients
  • Trace elements
  • Organic matter and texture

All results are available in multiple formats, making it easy to integrate with your farm management system.

PCN Sampling

To safeguard the potato crop it is necessary to carry out intensive soil sampling using the specified protocols. Generally, fields are sampled by dividing the field into 1 or 2 hectare grids. Typical practice means that 50+ sub samples of soil are collected from each grid. These are then combined to make up a composite sample of approximately 1 litre of soil.
