Granular lime is available as Calcium or Magnesium based prills and is suitable for spreading with a mounted fertiliser spreader. We recommend prilled lime for small areas of paddocks or orchards where it is difficult to use larger spreaders. Due to the lower suggested application rates, granular lime is delivered in 600kg or 1000kg bags for easy loading of the mounted spreader. It is an ideal maintenance product to neutralise the effect of acidifying fertilisers such as ammonium sulphate and could be applied as a ‘blanket’ application although we would recommend regular soil pH testing to monitor soil acidity levels prior to spreading.
