GPS Nutrient Mapping
Can you still afford blanket applications of fertiliser for your fields?
With Phield teK GPS Nutrient Mapping whole field applications may become a thing of the past. The Phield teK system can become an invaluable tool when making decisions about nutrient management on your farm.

How does it work?
MAP – Fields are measured and mapped using a quad bike fitted with a GPS receiver which plots real time data of up to 10 points per second
SAMPLE – DGPS determined points within the field are then navigated to where 16
samples of soil are collected from each location which represents an area of approximately 1 hectare

ANALYSE – Soil samples are then sent to an independent laboratory where they are analysed for Phosphate, Potash, Magnesium & pH. The results are then translated into nutrient maps showing deficient or excessive indices as well as acidity or alkalinity within each field
TREAT – Phield teK VRA (Variable rate application) maps can then be produced for targeted treatment to be carried out. Our programme is compatible with all major GPS application systems. If your farm does not have a VRA spreader we can arrange for spreading to be carried out by one of our contractors
